The oyster coats the irritant in nacre. In the naming metaphor, the pearl becomes a visible record of work: a small thing built through repeated effort.
Then comes the human effort.
The team’s analogy adds a diver: energy spent reaching and collecting a natural pearl. The story links scarcity, work, and the effort of discovery.
Work leaves something behind.
That is the appeal of “Pearl”: a compact image for something valuable emerging from effort. An origin story for the name, rather than proof of the project’s economics.
